About the Image(s)

How I did it—On Oct 12th I attended a Florida Central Chapter photo shoot in St. Pete. FL. “Shine Mural Festival” Artist’s from all over the Country, the Far East and Europe gathered to work on prepared building walls for 3 days. We photographed work that was already in place plus the new work that was in progress. Club member, Verónica Serra and I were shooting together when I noticed her dark polarized Sun glasses. We were standing in front of a beautiful mural of the famous Don Sazar Hotel. I positioned Veronica so the hotel reflection was centered on her reflected lenses. My tools for the day, Canon 5D MARK 111 with a Canon f4, 24 to 105 mm lens, hand held. My settings were f8, 100 ISO, 400th of a second at 105 mm. I am including the original image so my post work can be appreciated. In Camera Raw I increased Texture, Clarity, Dehaze and Vibrance. Next stop P.S. for a tight crop then using the Spot Healing Brush, I removed the Parking sign in the reflection of her glasses. I am pleased with the final version and am looking forward to your evaluations.

Erik, very nice and sharp reflection of the painted wall. Veronica looks very concentrated looking and enjoying it. the image is sharp, and she is well placed in the canvas with this tight crop, and blurred background. Nice hair light. Good eye.   Posted: 11/04/2019 09:22:31

I've never really enjoyed looking at photos of people with those funny sunglasses before, but this works perfectly. So that's a picture of the hotel, not the actual hotel? Wow!   Posted: 11/11/2019 12:56:05
