About the Image(s)
This image was captured by my mobile phone in fall 2021. I like the vibrant colors of the fall leaves and the kayaks in this scene. I enhanced the sharpness and the tonal contrast using Snapseed.

Your composition is great. I love the tree acting a as an important element and frame for the image. The only suggestion I have is to darken the boats in the background a little bit. Nice seeing.   Posted: 03/06/2023 12:20:52
Thanks Joan for your comments and suggestion to darken the boats.   Posted: 03/24/2023 18:25:15
Kieu-Hanh, what a lovely fall scene. My eye is led through it by the curve behind the tree and then the line of trees takes me to the water in the background. The tree in the foreground makes a nice frame. Nice fall colors with the oranges and yellows of the different trees. I agree with Joan to bring out the boats a bit more to add some more interest. It is a very nice composition.   Posted: 03/12/2023 18:15:36

I agree; this is a nice fall scene. The composition is well done with the tree offset so we can see the canoes, lake, and bridge with people. The colors look natural as well.
You can remove the fence in Photoshop; I am unsure if you use Photoshop. The fence creates a barrier that stops the visual flow through the photograph. There is also a phone app called: TouchRetouch: Photos Retouch in the Apple App store that removes things in images quickly and easily.

Hi LuAnn, Have you tried the app TouchRetouch? I saw the demo that it can remove the subject that is next to the other. I am not sure whether it can remove the entire fence that has kayaks behind it or not.   Posted: 03/25/2023 22:49:15
Here is a video showing how you can remove a fence from in front of a dog who is sitting right behind it. He shows you how to down load the app for Android or IOS for free if you don't want to pay for it. This technique also works in Photoshop which is the tool I do use. I recently took photos at a zoo and removed the fence using this same technique. It is pretty amazing.

Hello Kieu-Hanh,
I just tried editing the fence in your photo in Photoshop, but my copy is too small to select the tiny details. Unless you have a RAW file, this photo may not be the best candidate for fence removal. But none-the-less, having the option to remove a fence is an excellent way to remove the distraction. Maybe next month, I will post my zoo photo, where I removed a fence from one of the large outdoor animal exhibits.
Take care,

Thanks, LuAnn! I am looking forward to seeing your image taken at the zoo.   Posted: 03/29/2023 23:47:54
Kieu-Hanh, the beautiful colors of the tree contrasted with the bright kayaks makes a beautiful fall scene. The arched bridge in the background is a nice detail too. I'd prefer that the beach sand and leaves under the tree were darker, so my eye wasn't drawn there. It's amazing how good cell phone photos are these days!   Posted: 03/20/2023 12:05:20
Hi Ruth,
Thanks for your comments and your suggestion to darken the area under the tree. That area is probably the concrete road that leads to the pedestrian bridge at the lake.   Posted: 03/24/2023 18:37:32
