About the Image(s)
I don’t have the original, which was a slide. I guess this was scanned in and a filter like Find Edges used in Photoshop to give this effect. Also the crocuses and background look like I used the Orton effect to achieve the glowing look I am just guessing here. I was going through some old slides and picking out some to scan using my old Epson 48700 scanner. The slides can just be placed on the bed of the scanner to do this and make sure the white background protector is removed. You set the scanner to transparancy-positive.
These crocuses were taken at my old home in West Caldwelll, NJ. We always had a wonderful display in the spring.. The camera was a Nikon, but I really dob’t know which one. It was before digital.

I bet this looks nice printed. Would you print color on luster or matte paper? I think maybe a nice watercolor matte paper would look nice.
Thanks for sharing!

I love your creativity in this image. I also admire your tremendous work on it: scanning from slide, and using different filter and tools to achieve it. The purple color of the flowers with edges and contours is intriguing and beautiful. The entire scene looks like the water lantern festival to me!
I'd prefer to replace or lighten the dark areas by the existing brighter colors so that all the colors would blend in better.   Posted: 03/24/2023 19:09:31
