Shark Tank by Kieu-Hanh Vu

January 2020 - Shark Tank

About the Image(s)

This image was taken at Georgia Aquarium last August. I have visited this aquarium several times in the past and I am still loving it. In this huge tank, there is a whale shark, the largest fish in the world and the largest fish known to have lived in this planet.
Exif data: Canon 7D Mark II, Tamron lens 18-400 mm, ISO 2500, F/6.3, Speed: 1/50, handheld.

Visiting from 48 & 80. I have spent hours at our local aquarium and have not been able to get anything even half this good. Great image.   Posted: 01/13/2020 10:08:54

I agree with Beverly. A great image. Well done.
PS. You should sell this image to the aquarium so they could use it for publicity purposes. It is a eye catching image.

What an enjoyable image! I appreciate that both the water scene with the whale shark and the view of silhouetted visitors work together in your image. The composition with the whale shark moving forward and upwards works well.   Posted: 01/18/2020 09:44:51

I love that aquarium! Wonderful blues and the silhouettes show the enthralled crowd without being distracting to the fishes... nice!   Posted: 01/20/2020 11:49:15

What a fun image! I especially like the guy with the cell phone who is just off-center. Great capture! Well done indeed.   Posted: 01/29/2020 11:13:23

This is an awesome image. There is so much here that has come together to create an exception story image. Primary subject, layers / thirds, human element conveying action and excitement and interest for all ages. Lighting, focus and balance are well done for each compositional element. You should sell it to the aquarium.   Posted: 01/29/2020 20:07:07
