Baby Pumpkin by Randolph Shine

November 2019 - Baby Pumpkin

About the Image(s)

I was working in the Arboretum when I came across this baby pumpkin. The baby in the pumpkin is Justin. I have always heard that babies came from Storks. False news. Charlie Brown was right.

Very nice image! The image is sharp, and the green color of the ferns in the background complements the orange color of the pumpkin. The light seems harsh during mid-day and it casts strong shadows onto your subject. I'd prefer to lighten the image a bit more to soften the baby's skin tone.   Posted: 11/12/2019 05:38:20

A very cute picture. I would crop some off top. I feel it would make the baby stand out a little more.   Posted: 11/14/2019 13:27:05

Agree, and added a slight vignette as well   Posted: 11/14/2019 17:45:53

What a unique way to set up a portrait. In my opinion, the colors of the background set off the orange of the pumpkin well. I agree that a bit of cropping keeps the focus more on the child.   Posted: 11/27/2019 18:58:21
