Owl Gaze by Kieu-Hanh Vu

November 2019 - Owl Gaze

About the Image(s)

This image was taken at the Raptor Photo Shoot, organized by Nature Visions Photo Expo in Manassas, VA this weekend. The shoot was set up outside in the woods, and the morning light created colorful bokeh from autumn leaves in the background. The owl gaze also interested me.
Exif data: Canon 7D Mark II, Tamron lens 18-400mm, ISO 500, F/6.3, Speed 1/320.

What a great shot. The back lighting set it apart from any bird photo I have seen. The intense look of the owl is eye catching. It is sharp, detail and beautiful.
It has to be winner in any contest you enter the photo.   Posted: 11/17/2019 08:58:40

I like the owl's penetrating glare and sharply focused eyes. The blurred, warm-toned background sets off the owl nicely. Sounds like a fun opportunity to take photos of the raptors.   Posted: 11/25/2019 14:05:13
