About the Image(s)

May 2019
ISO 200, IPHONE XSMAX
Rue Saint Martin, Paris

The graffiti, which is everywhere in Paris, attracted me first, then the shapes, colors, textures.
The trusty iPhone… I need to try to remember to use my Sony which I always have with me more often.

It caught my eye. The yellow mail machine contrasted to the graffiti makes a sad comment on the Paris culture. When Marianne and I were in Paris back in 76" we saw no graffiti any were. Sad.   Posted: 11/08/2019 11:42:59

Your image represents a documentary photography, which provides a straightforward and accurate representation of people or places. It's sad to see that this French post office was vandalized with graffiti.
I have seen some graffiti art images, that are usually painted with permission or commissioned, taken by photographers in my camera club and I do wish to visit those places one day. This one gives me a negative feeling. I appreciate you for sharing the truth via your image.   Posted: 11/12/2019 07:53:06

I like the composition of your photojournalistic image. The position of the yellow mail bins makes a strong center of interest. I too am saddened to see graffiti in such public place in Paris.   Posted: 11/25/2019 14:09:13
