About the Image(s)

I was down in Key West walking around at night when I this little island of nostalgia. Only in Key West would you find something this beautiful. It made me think of the old neon lights of the 50-60. Little dinners along the roads I traveled.
Cannon 70D, F 4.0, 1/60sec, ISO 100, 18mm on a 18-275mm lens.

I get a warm fuzzy nostalgic feeling while looking at this. The exposure is well handled and it is sharp front to back. I like the use of the pots in the foreground to enhance the feeling of depth. Great contrasting colour make this image pop!   Posted: 08/04/2019 11:45:03

This is a best laundromat I have ever seen! The red neon lights enhanced the depth of the architecture as well as the windows. The angle you shot also shows 3D concept. Well done!   Posted: 08/10/2019 08:30:53

I like how the vivid neon lighting makes the outlines pop. The blues and hot pink speak of times past. You could consider adding a narrow frame to your image, maybe in white, so that your dark sky doesn't blend in with the black background.   Posted: 08/13/2019 14:13:41

Great capture, great colors. Almost looks like a miniature model on a set piece. Doesn't look big enough to be real. Very nostalgic feeling. I wish those cement blocks weren't there... and the black bar on the right of the frame is just there enough to make me wonder what it is...   Posted: 08/25/2019 15:57:37

The neon colors and sharp contrast to the dark background make this image stand out. I agree it almost looks like a model. The light spilling into the foreground takes slightly away from the isolated geometry and color of the building but all in all this is a fun, unique shot.   Posted: 08/29/2019 20:14:33

Now, that is what I call putting the fun back into doing the laundry! I like the fact that there is nothing in the pots in front. This way you were able to capture all the angles which enhanced your perspective and shows the geometry design.   Posted: 08/31/2019 06:32:47
