Indian Paintbrush

The Colorado wildflowers are beautiful this year. We found this cluster of mauve colored Indian Paintbrush while hiking by Mayflower Lake near Breckenridge. They are my favorite color of paintbrush, so I wanted to accent the color. I shot at F 9.5, 1/180 with my Canon EOS 7D. Adjustments were made to add contrast, blur and darken the background, and enhance the color.

The color of the flowers are so beautiful. The post processing is well done to create the contrast between highlights and shadows. I'd prefer to have a little more space at the top of the flowers.   Posted: 08/03/2019 08:32:02

Lovely deep rich colours with lots of detail. I enjoy the light on the flowers. I would prefer to see the image without the dark vignette. I find the crop very tight on the top and would prefer to see a little more room for the flowers to grow into.   Posted: 08/04/2019 11:48:07
