About the Image(s)

We had a bounce house at the 44th Anniversary of CPAH:Irvin's Lodge (Cerebal Palsy Adult Home). The kids loved it. I thought this photo summed it up nicely.

It's a nice and candid picture! The colors of the bounce house, the natural poses and actions of those two kids would sure put a smile on the viewer's face. I'd prefer to remove an object on the grass above the first girl's back.   Posted: 03/12/2019 06:29:36

A lovely candid shot showing genuine emotion. I find the sun on the grass and the fence in the background a bit harsh, and would attempt to tone down the highlights in this area.   Posted: 03/13/2019 14:59:52

I agree. I did tone it down as much as possible and not see the adjustment in the photo.   Posted: 03/19/2019 13:58:14

The joyful expression on the top girl's face is my favorite part of the image. The bright colors of the bounce house add to the festive look of the setting. To me, the angled line of the fence in the background looks awkward and could perhaps be blurred or corrected with a skewing transformation   Posted: 03/26/2019 21:02:31

This is a fun, playful image that shows the joy and innocence of the two young girls. I've been taught that there are 3 primary levels of composition when photographing people: 1) social - showing the whole person and their actions in the environment 2) personal - showing a portion of the person in a manner that is recognizable such as an executive head shot or a model's face for a make up advertisement and 3) intimate - showing just a portion of the body such as hands or just a person's eye in a way that accents lighting, mood or emotion. I think this image could be social in which case I'd try to include the legs of the girl on the left in the frame and crop out some the space at the top of the image. Or, personal in which case I'd compose in a way that includes just the head and shoulders of both girls featuring primarily their expression and their grasp.   Posted: 03/31/2019 09:41:29

Cute, fun image. Great colors and composition. Maybe a bit off kilter?   Posted: 03/31/2019 18:31:33
