Walk Way by Randolph Shine

January 2018 - Walk Way

About the Image(s)

Walk Way 1 is taken in Green Cay. It is a 1.5 mile walk way inside Green Cay and is an ideal place to photo birds and vegetation. One day we saw 21 different bird spices.

I like this fence and the leading lines of its shadows in this image. It would be best if you could include an interesting subject at the end of the road that all the lines are leading to.   Posted: 01/24/2018 13:23:46

This is a good example of symmetry, layers and leading lines in an image. The walk way almost establishes a vanishing point. The post on the left causes a bit of distraction. The contrast and shadow are good and contribute well to the image. The midday sunlight is a bit harsh. I wonder if this would feature the lines and contrast more in black and white?   Posted: 01/27/2018 19:44:16

I like the leading lines of the fence and shadows of your image. In this case, the central placement of the walkway in the frame works well. To focus more on the lines of the walkway and shadows, you could consider cropping out the sky and/or adding more contrast to darken the shadows. I agree with Jim that the post on the left does distract and could be cloned out.   Posted: 01/28/2018 20:42:07
