About the Image(s)

During one of my experimental phases, I set up my camera on a tripod on our back patio one night. Our water hose was set to a wide spray and I placed a "3D" backing sheet (obtainable at Michaels) behind the nozzle. Flashes were also included on the camera and off to the side. Somewhat wet scene but all electronics survived. Then the experiments commenced and I finally got a shot which I liked, The colors are reflected from the back board with the adjustment of the side flash. Cropping,90 degree rotation and some color enhancement was all that I did in post processing.
Canon t5i, 1/60 sec, f11, ISO 400.

What a surprise to me. Before reading your description, my thought was that it was a broken Christmas light. I have no idea what a 3D backing sheet does, but I feel that your experiment worked well. I like how the center is surrounded by the small circle of colors and how you enhanced the lighting in the lower section. My eyes start there for the center of interest and then going around the entire image. My suggestion for its title: "Christmas Explosion"   Posted: 11/11/2020 14:06:08

Wow! I love the bright colors. What a cool experiment. My only suggestion might be to crop out some more of the hose at the very top. Beautiful work. Now I'll have to look for the 3D backing sheet at Michaels.   Posted: 11/15/2020 15:56:04
