About the Image(s)

Most wildflowers are gone but occasionally a mushroom will give us just as much beauty. Couldn’t find anything but white and this tiny colorful one. Shot with me lying on the ground with Nikon D610, 105mm macro lens, manual priority, f/5.6, 1/320 sec, ISO 800. In Lightroom used radial filter for dehazing and sharpening the cap, brush tool, radial tool for softening the pine straw, graduated filter on upper corners, vignette, crop. Used Photoshop to remove spots on cap. Used Topaz “fairy” filter for background.

This is beautiful. I have just begun playing with textures on my flowers so I can really appreciate the work that went into it, let alone lying on your back on what was probably wet ground. Well Done!   Posted: 06/02/2020 10:48:04

Very nice image. Your crop on the top and bottom lets the mushroom stand out. I like the texture you used as a background.   Posted: 06/11/2020 13:56:20

This does look like something out of a fairy land. I like these edits, I think it looks a bit like it was painted.   Posted: 06/12/2020 07:10:33
