About the Image(s)

The Sacramento zoo completely remodeled the lion enclosure, giving them more room and no chain link fence. It looks like they are enjoying the space and the new arrangement. I took this during a "demo day" put on by one of our local camera shops. Got to try out some new gear. Sony a7III, Sony 24-240mm lens. Hand held, no filters.

Unusual and creates a lot of interest. Very sharp. Perhaps a stop too bright? How could we define the lions better from their background?   Posted: 11/10/2019 18:37:21

A excited bunch or another day at the zoo. Good capture! A darker back ground would give the lions some pop or resize to bring the lions to the foreground.   Posted: 11/16/2019 14:51:35

What lazy bums they are! Made me chuckle. David's suggestion worked too.Are you buying a new camera?   Posted: 11/17/2019 17:25:35

Yes, although not abandoning my Nikon. After demo day at the zoo, I really enjoyed using the Sony, so now I own one.   Posted: 11/18/2019 10:53:58

I like the positioning in the frame. It shows the structure well. A little unnoticeable vignette might draw the they to the male lion who seems to be the main subject.   Posted: 11/18/2019 17:48:27

Good call on vignetting. Thats what the image needed.   Posted: 11/25/2019 17:35:05

I really like this. Love how the lions are almost the same color as the wall and wood.   Posted: 11/19/2019 15:13:30
