Orca Point Sunset by Sharon Moir

August 2019 - Orca Point Sunset

About the Image(s)

Inner passage in Alaska. No retouching done. Just liked the reddish light coming through the trees and person walking through it.

The sea does not appear to be level. The base of the walkway and the extension to the left has no definition. By lightening this you would create a pathway for the person to walk.   Posted: 08/07/2019 10:26:17

Nice shot which could be helped by removing two concrete posts and straightening the horizon. The sun breaking through the branches adds some interest in what would otherwise be a totally black area.   Posted: 08/10/2019 13:48:38

I straightened the horizon and cropped the foreground and background. You might eliminate the piling as it competes with the man.   Posted: 08/11/2019 19:54:02

I am wondering if it would have been possible to move to the right so the tree would be positioned on the left with the sun and reflection on the right. I wouldn't mind seeing the figure walking between the two.   Posted: 08/24/2019 23:02:24

If composition can be changed a little, it would be more nicer. I would like to put the person in the reddish light.   Posted: 08/25/2019 10:21:33

This is pretty and has a good mood to it. I do like the tighter crop that David did. You still get the mood. Removing the central pillar might be good, but not crucial.   Posted: 08/25/2019 15:05:52
